Port Credit Busker Fest
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of Port Credit Buskerfest and the conclusion of an extremely rewarding and wonderful chapter of my life.Unfortunately two of our major funders have decided to withdraw their support, and without their contribution combined with the current economic climate, it is impossible for us to move forward any longer.It would be wrong not to take this moment to thank the people who believed in us and stood by the festival from the very beginning.
Thank you to all the incredible performers who took to the streets of Port Credit over the years. You brought pure joy to so many and taught us so much about who you are. You are resilient, talented, hardworking, adventurous, and truly remarkable people who bring laughter and amazement to every person lucky enough to experience your magic. It was a gift to have the opportunity to work with and learn from you. You danced in the rain, pushed through the cold, battled high winds, and most importantly you showed up every single year to entertain us and put smiles on our faces. And that you certainly did! We are forever grateful.To our funders and sponsors: thank you for supporting us on this incredible journey. Because of you, we were able to bring some of the best and most sought-after circus acts in the world to Port Credit year after year. You helped us keep this event accessible to all ages, cultures, and—most importantly—all financial situations, as we never charged a fee for people to experience the excitement the festival provided.To our supportive fans and volunteers: while we won’t have the opportunity to celebrate our 20th anniversary with you, please know how deeply we appreciate your endless support and love for street performance. This festival would not have been possible without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.Lastly to our loyal team, past and present: you are amazing and without a doubt the reason this festival thrived and survived for 19 years. Your loyalty, energy, and enthusiasm made it all worthwhile and possible year after year. No words can fully express my gratitude, and I wish nothing but the very best for each of you.So cheers to all of you. It’s been a wonderful ride for which I am so thankful, and I truly find peace in knowing, the countless memories, will live on forever!
